- MOST ADVANCED CHARGER TECHNOLOGY: Uses switching power supply technology as opposed to the linear technology of other battery chargers. This technology also allows the Battery Doc to accept any input voltage from 90-264 volts AC. Works with the new Absorbed Glass Mate (AGM) type batteries.
- ULTRA LIGHT AND COMPACT: The use of switching power supply technology allows it to get the same amount of power, or more, in a smaller and lighter package. The unit will literally fit in a shirt pocket.
- MORE EFFICIENT: Because it uses switching technology, the power output of the Battery Doc is a minimum of 70% efficient as compared to the input power. Linear supplies are typically only 35 to 50% efficient at best.
- WON'T HARM YOUR BATTERY / DUAL CHARGE MODE: Has two operating modes, constant current and constant voltage. When your battery's voltage is down it operates in constant current mode to recharge the battery. Once the battery is recharged, there is a voltage sensing circuit that shuts the current to the battery down, it then changes to constant voltage mode, and the battery is maintained at the proper voltage. In this way, current is only applied to the battery if the battery voltage is below normal. If current were applied to the battery continuously, damage would occur to the battery's lead plates.
- 3 COLOR LED CHARGE INDICATOR: 3 basic charge indicating modes, red means the charger is working, and the battery is being charged normally. Yellow indicates the battery is almost completely charged. When the LED turns green, the battery is completely charged, and the Battery Doc has changed to constant voltage mode.
- TOTALLY ENCLOSED PLASTIC CASE: Because the Battery Doc's more efficient design produces less heat, the case does not have ventilation holes like other chargers. This makes it water-resistant.
- SHORT CIRCUIT / REVERSE POLARITY PROTECTED: The Battery Doc is both short circuit and reverse polarity protected. These features prevent any spark that could cause an explosion when connecting to your battery. The reverse polarity protection also assures no damage to your battery, or charger, if the leads are connected incorrectly.
- MULTIPLE ACCESSORIES / CARRYING BAG: The Battery Doc kit includes 3 different interchangeable output connectors and a handy carrying bag, which holds the Battery Doc and all the accessories.
